Hi @hmnaeem77,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like after installing Windows 11 on your laptop with Japanese Windows, several devices are not recognized, including your touchpad. This often happens when drivers are not installed or recognized correctly. Here’s what you can try to resolve this issue.
Install Drivers:
- Visit the official HP support website for your laptop model.
- Download and install the latest drivers for your touchpad and other devices listed under "Other devices" and "Unknown device." Make sure to download drivers specifically for Windows 11 if available. You can usually find these under the "Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices" section.
Update Windows:
- Ensure your Windows 11 is fully updated. Sometimes, Windows Update might automatically find and install the correct drivers for your devices.
Check Device Manager:
- Right-click on each unrecognized device in Device Manager, choose "Update driver," and then select "Search automatically for updated driver software." Windows might find and install the correct drivers.
Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
- If the touchpad driver is already installed but not working correctly, uninstall it from Device Manager, then reinstall the driver downloaded from HP’s website.
BIOS Update:
- Sometimes, a BIOS update can resolve hardware compatibility issues. Check HP’s support site for any available BIOS updates for your laptop model and follow their instructions to update.
Language Settings:
- Ensure that your language settings in Windows 11 are configured correctly and that the language pack installed matches your system’s display language.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
