My model is the 17-cp2124od, when I have one monitor plugged into the hdmi port it works but I cannot get my vga to usb c adaptor to work. Can I use a hdmi splitter? Or hdmi to usb c adaptor? I want to extend my display across the two monitors  and my laptop monitor

I can't get its full specs, only

            https://www.microcenter.com/product/652302/hp-17-cp2124od-173-laptop-computer-silver

  • A1:  HDMI splitter is a joke, you only get same (duplicated) scree
  • A2: USB-C to HDMI eon't work because its USB-C dore not support Alt mode

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
