Hi everyone,

I recently acquired this monitor: Samsung LS24H850QFUXEN which has USB C.

I can use this to simultaneously charge the laptop and connect the screen, however when doing so I can hear a high pitched noise coming from underneath the keyboard and some crackling sounds, when I use the touchpad the crackling intensifies. Additionally the fan usually starts firing up, in the task manager 'system' and 'system interrupts' suddenly consume around 35 % of CPU power in idle.. This persists while the screen is plugged in via the USB C cord.

All this does not happen when plugging in with HDMI. I've already tried to update the driver, unfortunately that did not help..

Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Cheers,

Paul
