Product: HP 250 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (952G0AV)

Why doesn't the USB-C to HDMI adapter work on my HP [specify exact model], even though it has USB-C with DisplayPort support?
*Is the HP USB-C Dock G5 (or any other official HP dock) definitely compatible with my device?*
Is there a BIOS update or setting that enables video output over USB-C?

Chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual indicates the USB-C port supports data transfer only.

HDMI v1.4b + HDCP 2.0 supporting 1080p up to 1920 × 1080 @ 60 Hz
USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (2) (left and right sides)
USB 3.2 Type-C® Gen1 port, supports data transfer (left side)
