HP Envy X360 15-CP0053CL
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone, we recently began experiencing issues with our USB-C Thunderbolt port in which when we plugged it in to our external monitor through a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, the monitor displays no signal and the laptop begins to experience massive stuttering and delays until we unplug the USB-C to DisplayPort cable. The connection previously worked but we have been experiencing these issues since we processed a few driver and system updates. We even tried doing a clean install of Windows but we are unable to get the external monitor to display even though it has worked before.  Is this a fixable issue or should we request a warranty repair as we have a few months left in our warranty for our HP Envy X360 15-CP0053CL?

The specs of your machine is

It does NOT have Thunderbolt port. I don't know why USB-C to DP direct cable worked in the first place. You need USB-C to DP Adapter or a hub.

Good Afternoon:

According to the specs on the laptop's website, the USB-C supports DisplayPort 1.4. I apologize, I may have misspoken in regards to Thunderbolt. In this situation, how would I reset the USB-C DisplayPort drivers to display an image on my external monitor?
