USB type C port and VGA

Hello I have a problem with the type c of my laptop I bought an adaptor from type-c to vga and does not show me anything on my monitor..Can you explain why this is happening??

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

I'd suggest you check with an alternate usb type-c port, since the computer has two. Also, check with another adapter.

Hi asmita

My laptop is the HP - Pavilion 15-cb010nv model and I have only one type-c port.

Also,I checked the original adapter of HP store today and I have the same problem(The screen is off).

I don't now why.

Try updating the computer - 

Step 1 Windows Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

Download and install the BIOS from this link.
