@Vasanth2619, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If the ELAN input device driver has been uninstalled and the touchpad is not working even after several attempts to reinstall the drivers, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

HP Support assistant

Please install the HP Support Assistant and run the driver update to download any missing drivers.

Check Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager and expand the section for Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Verify if the TouchPad device is listed. If not, your system might not be recognizing it.

Install the Latest TouchPad Driver:

  • Visit the official HP Support page and search for your specific device model to download the latest TouchPad driver. Install it following HP's instructions.

Adjust TouchPad Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Mouse and adjust the settings to ensure the TouchPad is enabled.

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tool. Access this by restarting your device and pressing F2 during startup.
  • Select Component Tests > Mouse Test > Pointer Test & Drag and Drop Test to check the functionality of your TouchPad.

Also, you may refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshoot the touchpad | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
