Hello all,

I have been considering upgrading the LCD panel on my computer,  after what happened as described in another one of my forum posts, seen here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Wrong-resolution-on-HP-EliteBook-8470...

 

I've been looking at LCD panels on eBay, like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222405827922?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

and in the description, it says: "If you are wanting to go from an HD (1366x768) display to an HD+ (1600x900) display - this will not work." Oddly enough, that's actually what I'm trying to do. 

 

I've also asked elsewhere about upgrading my screen's resolution and I was told that replacing the LCD panel was the only thing I can do to get the higher resolution.

I just want to make sure I get everything right and that I don't end up wasting my money on a new screen.
