VERTICAL LINE ON HP PAVILION DV6 LAPTOP

PAVILION DV6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,
I see a sky blue or cyan color vertical line on my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop (beats audio version).

i checked the device manager- network adapter- Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adapter had issue.

I tried to to follow the steps mentioned on the link provided below, by uninstalling the microsoft teredo driver on my laptop.

however, the issue still persists. i do not know how to fix it.

Please assist me with this issue.

Thanks,

Sowm

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about a vertical blue line on your display and wanted to help.

It's highly unlikely that this is a driver issue, and much more likely that this is either a failing display, or a failing video chipset, or both -- and both of these last two are very expensive to fix, likely more than simply replacing the laptop.

A way to see if it IS the video driver is to boot into safe mode -- in which case, the special video drivers would then NOT be working:  http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html

Good Luck
