Hi.

I've been having this display issue for over a month and I can't find a solution. After starting my laptop one day a dotted vertical line appeared on my screen. It's almost in the middle and it goes from top to bottom. It even overlaps the Omen logo when the laptop is starting. The line is visible all the time and it never disappears. I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers, I have the latest windows update, I ran HP diagnostics, I updated BIOS and I tried all the solutions in the guided troubleshooting. Nothing worked. I'm afraid it might be a hardware problem. It's still a new laptop. I got it 5 months ago. When I tried to get a screenshot of the desktop with the line on it, the line didn't appear on the screenshot that's why I took a picture with my phone.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance

Hi,

It is definetly a hardware problem (that is why the screenshot did not save the line). I would guess either the display or display cable  which attaches to motherboard. Since you are probably still under warranty you need to contact HP directly and get it fixed or bring it to store where you bought it.
