Ever since four days ago, me and many other HP VICTUS 15 users have been experiencing freezes that last around 3 seconds.  I've rolled back my windows to the previous version of windows, reinstalled BIOS, reinstalled windows, checked event viewer to find nothing useful, and ran every hardware diagnostic with no luck of fixing the problem detected or fix. The only error I was able to notice is that when the laptop freezes, there is a V-shaped dip in the GPU 3D section of my task manager, and my GPU usage % drops to 0 during the freeze.

Hi,

I'm also a HP Victus 15 user. With the latest BIOS Update (F.09) I noticed that even when notebook is idle, the CPU temps reach up to 95 degrees. Could you please check you CPU temperature and see if your notebook freezes due to high CPU temp? I've reinstalled F.08 and it solved my problem.

Try disabling CPU turbo boost from power setting and check. I suggest you to create your own post in community you can get help and other people recommendation.
