Just received my new Victus 16 and love it. Using WIn11. Unfortunately, after connecting my Dell USB-C Monitor, the system is unable to shut down competely. After screen going blank, the Power LED stays on and after a few minutes, the fan goes to full speed. Only way to shut down is a hard stop (press and hold power button). Without the montor connected, system shuts down without problems. Monitor works fine on another laptop.
All updates installed including BIOS, also installed the newest Gforce display driver.
Is this a hardware defect on USB-C port (can still return the laptop to my dealer)? Or software issue - Any idea how to solve?

Hi @KarlDS,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Let's try these steps.
POWER DRAIN:
Please disconnect all the devices and cables connected to your computer including the power cable and then press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds connect the power cable back again and try to power on the computer.
CBR:
Press windows key and then follow by the key "B" this time and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+B for 3-4 seconds more.
If the issue persists, try connecting a different monitor and see if that works fine. If not the unit needs to be checked.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
