Hello, today the volume display on the upper left side of my screen changed to display play/pause and forward/back buttons along with the application where sound is coming from. Is there a way to go back to only showing the volume bar with blue display? This takes up room on the screen and is unnecessary.

Hi,
It is a Chrome thing (when on YouTube) which intercepts the media keys and shows that box for further control.
You can turn it off. Here is how.
Open Chrome
Type chrome://flags in search bar
Find Hardware Media Key Handling and disable
Relaunch Chrome
Hope it helps,
David

I don't know what is your Pavilion x360 but from the image I can see you are using Chrome as your default. What did you use before ? You have to take that one back as default.
Regards.
