My laptop has performance issues caused by installing windows 11 or something else. I have upgraded ram and made all necessary updates. The laptop is hardly ever used on the internet. Can’t solve the issues it has like slow processing long waiting for apps to open. When I changed the ram it was back to normal everything was fast but than it because slow and under performance again after just using it a few times. Should I change the mother board or what should I do.

@Lucio1231, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Laptop Performance!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check for Driver Updates: Sometimes drivers need updates to match the new operating system optimally. Ensure all your drivers are updated.

Use HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant can help you manage updates and troubleshoot issues more effectively. It's pre-installed on HP PCs but can also be downloaded here.

Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes software running in the background can cause slowdowns. Use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to review what applications are using the most resources and consider disabling or removing unnecessary startup programs.

Run Diagnostics: HP PCs often come with built-in diagnostics tools. You can use HP Support Assistant to run these tools to identify if there are any hardware issues.

Check for Malware: Even if your laptop is hardly used on the internet, it's a good idea to run a thorough malware scan to ensure no malicious software is causing the slowdown.

Restore to Previous Version: If the issues started after upgrading to Windows 11, you might consider rolling back to Windows 10 to see if the performance improves.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
