I purchased a notebook in the US. Now I'm in Argentina. Notebook crashes especially when playing videogames (most of them can't even start), I checked everything that I was able to, it's not memory, it's not disk, everything is up to date, I even installed everything again.
I want to claim warranty but HP doesn't accept invoice Amazon sent me, they say it's information missing but Amazon vendor says that's the only invoice they can give me. I asked to a friend in and he says invoice is fine but HP support doesn't want to update my warrant (that is set as expired on website).
I also tried to talk with HP Argentina but telephone options are not available for expired warranty laptops.
Any idea?

Hi @pertile
The problem is more complicated, the models compared in the US. have no warranty in South America, only models of the business line, they are models that can be purchased anywhere in the world have international warranty.
You should contact the US support.

So international warranty is basically a lie.
I did all claims in HP site as if I were in the US, so I could get at least more options in HP Support page. I didn't get to ask HP Argentina for support because they asked for an invoice with a serial number which I don't have.

Only certain models, the problem is that a model that you buy in the US, there are no spare parts in Argentina because it is not marketed in Argentina and I think in this case you must buy the spare part and labor is free.

Months ago I would have been happy only with full free repair. Now if they say get and pay this component and you repair it I would be happy because my laptop would have a solution. In this condition is something that I can't use seriously as it crashes randomly (and my children can't use for videogames because is a "gaming" laptop that crashes with games).
But, HP Argentina hasn't got any option to call "out of warranty", or at least I couldn't find it.

Many times this problem is a driver update, check the laptop support page for updates. Check in the Device Manager that all drivers are recognized. If you are using a third-party antivirus, disable it.

When you reinstall the software, not all updates are always there. Check in windows Update too
