Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

In zoom meetings, as well in skype videocall, With the Ac-dc adapter plugged in video images get blocked and also the audio isn't syncronized. Removing the adapter everything is fine, video and audio are ok. It happens only with the adapter plugged in.

What to check?

Thanks a million to all

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your webcam is not working correctly when the ac adapter is plugged in, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.

BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Echo_lake

thanks for your suggestion and sorry for my late reply.

I've just tried to set BIOS default , but nothing has changed; My notebook is pretty new (i bhought it in july) and i've noticed the problem since the beginning of october, but i cannot say that before there wasn't because in summertime i took a brake on my online job so no zoom meetings.

I'd like to tell you that I also opened a case on Hp support team after I've posted on the community, one of your collegues guided me in some tests from the menu activated with f2 at the bootstrap, and the ac adapter test has failed, so they will send me a new adapter as replacement.

As soon as I receive it i will try again and i'll let you know..

Thanks again , speak to you soon
