hello

When i plugged in my hp usb-c mini dock to my computer, it didn't do anything. So when i connected my first monitor with hdmi and the second monitor with VGA, both screen began sleep mode. I do have some question to what i think it might be, but i have no clue at the moment. The questions i have are:

- Could it have something to do with the docking station not installing the software on my laptop?

- Is it because of the laptop model i have (Pavilion)

- Do i have to put a type c power input into the docking station, even when the light is on from being in the computer?

please help and thanks in advance

@Sorent

What is your Pavilion machine ? Does its USB-C port support video out ?  Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

@Sorent

Your machine is an HP Pavilion - 14-ce0807no, its specs

         https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=4AU48EA

It has  1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) port.

Its USB-C port is not compatible with your mini hub and I can't find a compatible one for you. This port supports video out using USB-C connection and the result should be similar to  DisplayPort™ 1.2 specs.

Regards.
