Whether HP ProBook 440 G5 supports 4K and WQHD (2K) external display or not
Product: HP ProBook 440 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I'm using HP ProBook 440 G5 for my daily work, with Full HD (23 inch) display via HDMI port. To make my working space wider, to get better work efficiency, I'm thinking to purchase another display as following:
2K (WQHD), for example, view sonic's VX3276-2K-MHD-7, or
4K, for example, view sonic's VX3276-4K-MHD-7
I researched a little and understood that this machine's built-in HDMI port doesn't support resolutions more than Full HD. However, my ProBook 440 G5 has one USB-C port with a logo showing it's compatible with Display Port, therefore I'm going to purchase an adapter to convert Display port to USB-C to connect them.
My question here is, would this laptop supports external display with above resolution (2K / 4K) or not, if I used this USB-C port as Display Port?
I've checked its official specification sheet, but I couldn't clarify this doubt (or I missed something). I'd really appreciate it if HP Support Community specialists would kindly teach my on this matter.
