Hi,
I am looking to buy a stylus pen and I am not sure which pen is compatible with my device. I want if I have a digitizer and what version that digitizer is. I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000 (1W798AV).

Hi @Tijje,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Great question! Let’s go through the details for your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000 (1W798AV) so you know what kind of stylus will work and what the limitations might be.
Does Your Device Have a Digitizer?
Yes. The HP Pavilion x360 14-dw1000 series supports Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) active pens. This means it has a digitizer that works with HP Active Pens and other MPP-compliant styluses.

Digitizer Version
Your device uses Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0, which supports:
- Pressure sensitivity
- Tilt functionality (with compatible pens)
- Palm rejection for natural writing experience.
How to Confirm Support
- Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink on your laptop.
- If you see pen options, your digitizer is active and ready for MPP pens.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Your list of compatible pens is outdated.
It is frustrating to go through your list of model numbers, only to find one of them still available, which is this one.
