White spots
02-13-2021 07:00 PM

Hi, I don't have a clue about technology. I see a white spot in the middle of the laptop screen. I am trying to find out if this iscovered in the warranty, if I need anew screen, and probable price for repair.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- When was the last time it worked without these issues?
- Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
- Have you checked the display on an external monitor?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi, I noticed the spots about 4 months ago. They have only recently got worse. I don't know what your second question means. I have tries on an external monitor and the spots don't appear on that. I didn't think I am allowed to give anyone the info about which device I have. Thanks

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
