The nib is new, the battery is full, and everything seems fine, but my HP Tilt Pen 2.0 doesn't work properly. The pointer always fluctuates and makes marks without touching the screen. I need a solution for this issue.

Hi @Siam71,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Tilt Pen 2.0 might be experiencing some interference or calibration issues. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure there are no objects or electronic devices near the screen that could cause interference. Sometimes, magnetic or electronic interference can affect the pen’s performance.

Clean the Screen:

  • Make sure the screen is clean and free of any dust or smudges. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen.

Update Drivers and Firmware:

  • Check if there are any updates available for your laptop’s touch screen drivers or pen firmware. You can do this through the HP Support Assistant or by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest drivers and firmware updates.

Recalibrate the Touch Screen:

  • Go to Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings > Calibrate and follow the instructions to recalibrate your touch screen. This can sometimes help with touch accuracy issues.

Check Pen Settings:

  • Open the Windows Ink Workspace or your pen’s settings to ensure there are no sensitivity or configuration issues. Adjust the settings if needed.

Test the Pen on Another Device:

  • If possible, test the pen on another compatible device to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the pen or the laptop.

Reset or Re-pair the Pen:

  • Try removing and re-pairing the pen with your laptop. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, find your pen, and remove it. Then, pair it again following the instructions provided with the pen.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the pen for any visible signs of damage. Even if the nib is new, make sure the pen itself is not damaged or malfunctioning.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
