Will Active Pen PN: J4R51AA#ABL work with Spectre 13-4003dx and be compatible with Office 2016 ink f

Hello, all who offer help.  I bought this Spectre 360 (2 in 1) over 3 years and was resently told by an assistant at Best Buy (where I bought the laptop) that a 3 year old system wasn't likely to work with the Ink feature in Office 2016.  I was looking at buying an active pen to be able to use the feature but am concern I can't make use of the features of this laptop and an active pen.  I think the person was just not in a helpful mood being I wasn't going to buy a new laptop.  He quoted a price above $100 for an active pen as well.  HP $50+ for the active pen mentioned in the subject line.  Your help is appreciated, and Thank you.

Quick and low cost answer, unlike Best Buy person.  I will order online and question why I went to Best Buy!
