Hi,

I am using "Windows 8" on my "HP Pavilion DV6 6119tx" , it was came preinstalled win7, but after upgrading to win8 my graphic card have stopped working. I have tried capability mode but i was not helpful and i am using win8 from when it was consumer preview from then only my graphic card is not working so its been more tan six months. In device manager graphic card properties it says that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". And HP live support assistent says that driver for your loptop will come soon but its too much time for me. So if Hp or anyone who knows the solution can help me on this soon.

Thank You.

Hi! I had a similar problem with my HP Pavilion dv7-6158ca Entertainment  Notebook PC. Today I updated the Radeon Driver (HD 6490M) through the device manager to AMD Radeon 7400M Series. Then I followed this post and it worked to perfection. I was able to maintain the new driver as well as clear my problem. All is working well now. I am also running Windows 8.1.

Thanks again to the poster of the fix.

Bob.

1. I have HP Pavilion g6-1320sx notebook

2. Windows 8 professional 32-bit

3. I downloaded the AMD driver from HP website but a message told me "no hardwre found to update" or something like that.

In Device Manager I found AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series it in the "Display adapters" with a yellow attention sign on it, and after checking the properties I found this note in device status:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

What can I do to solve this problem?

Thanks

Hello iSlam2k. I understand you are witnessing a Device Manager Code 10 error. If you complete the troubleshooting in this Microsoft document, it should resolve the issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943104

You may witness a pop-up to download and run Microsoft Fix it to resolve the issue. If that option appears, you can attempt it. Otherwise, proceed with the troubleshooting in the document. The operating system referenced in the document is different that your operating system, but the troubleshooting is similar and relevant.

Please respond when you complete troubleshooting so I know the results.

I understand. As per the document, you would need to contact the hardware manufacturer for continued assistance. Please contact HP technical support. Their options will be based on the warranty status of the computer. If you do not have this information, you can locate it at this website: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/wc/home?ac.admitted=1384280905804.876444892.199480...

You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
