Hi @Nanditapore,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your laptop experienced a sudden issue that caused it to freeze or hang. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.
- Restart Your Laptop: If your laptop is not responding, try to force a restart by holding down the power button for several seconds until it powers off. Then turn it back on and see if the issue persists.
- Check for Updates: Sometimes, software or driver issues can cause strange behavior. Make sure your operating system and drivers are up to date. You can usually do this through the settings menu on your laptop.
- Run a Virus Scan: Malware or viruses can also cause strange behavior on your computer. Run a thorough virus scan using your antivirus software to check for any malicious programs.
- Check for Hardware Issues: If the problem persists, it could be a hardware issue. Check if any peripherals (like external hard drives or USB devices) are connected to your laptop and try removing them to see if that solves the problem. If you're comfortable doing so, you can also try opening up your laptop to check for any loose connections or damaged components.
- Backup Your Data: If you're able to access your laptop again after restarting it, it's a good idea to back up any important data in case the problem worsens or reoccurs.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
