You need to connect an external monitor to see if it has the same issues.
IF it does, that indicates a video chipset problem and since those are soldered to the laptop motherboard, they can't be replaced.
If it does not, that indicates a laptop screen issue and that screen would need to be replaced. If the laptop is still under the original warranty, you need to let us know that and we will supply HP contact info.
