My display brightness will intermittently come on and off. I currently can only see the desktop behind a dark screen. I am able to view my computer through a second monitor. I
have tried running diagnostics and it appears everything is working properly but my screen will randomly go dark and I have to connect a second monitor. I replaced the GPU and reset the CMOS but this doesn't seem to work as a permanent fix.

Hi @Damion40,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the display.
I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
It sounds like there may be an issue with the display or the display settings on your HP ENVY All-In-One PC. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Power Settings: Make sure that the power settings on your PC are not causing the display to dim or turn off. Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Power & sleep" and adjust the settings as needed.
Update Display Drivers: Ensure that your display drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to Device Manager, locating the display adapter, right-clicking on it, and selecting "Update driver."
Adjust Display Brightness: Press the "Windows" key + "I" to open the Settings app, then go to "System" > "Display" and adjust the brightness slider to see if it resolves the issue.
Check for Hardware Issues: If the problem persists, there may be a hardware issue with the display or the graphics card.
Use External Monitor: Since you mentioned that you can view your computer through a second monitor, you can continue using the second monitor until the issue with the built-in display is resolved.
If none of these steps help, it's best to contact HP phone support for service.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
