Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've seen several messages about a known problem with the hinges on HP Envy.  This morning one of my hinges broke.  Is there any resolution that will not cost me money?  The laptop was purchased in 2021, but I would have expected the hardware to last much longer.  Also, does anyone have information on the reported class action lawsuit on this matter?
