Hi @RamneekKrTalwar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion 13 laptop's inbuilt camera is not working and showing an error message "CAMERA DEVICE NOT FOUND," here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Check Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Make sure the toggle switch for "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
  • Check the list of apps and ensure the app you are trying to use has permission to access the camera.

Update Camera Driver:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Imaging Devices or Cameras category.
  • Right-click on your camera device and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Camera Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on the camera device and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the camera driver.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

Enable Camera in BIOS:

  • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F2, F10, ESC, or Delete during startup).
  • Look for a setting related to the camera and ensure it is enabled.

Run Hardware Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters and then select Camera.
  • Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Conflicting Software:

  • Some software may interfere with the camera. Check if any recently installed software could be causing the issue and try disabling or uninstalling it.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Download and run the HP Support Assistant from the HP website. It can automatically detect and fix issues with your HP laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
