The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05573715
It ONLY has
- 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data up to 5 Gb/s);
- 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge);
- 1 HDMI;
- 1 RJ-45;
- 1 headphone/microphone combo
From my view, that USB-C port is hopeless, it is similar to a normal USB 3.1 port with a different shape. Therefore no available port on your machine which is fast enough for an eGPU.
You need a machine which has a Thunderbolt3 port.
Regards.
