can i connect an external graphic card to my laptop using the type-c port?

I was looking to upgrade my system because it only have 2gbddr3 of video with the nvidia gtx940mx and an internal upgrade cant be made.

It ONLY has

• 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data up to 5 Gb/s);
• 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge);
• 1 HDMI;
• 1 RJ-45;
• 1 headphone/microphone combo

From my view, that USB-C port is hopeless, it is similar to a normal USB 3.1 port with a different shape. Therefore no available port on your machine which is fast enough for an eGPU.

You need a machine which has a Thunderbolt3 port.

thanks, i would try the option of the exp gdc and see if it work, otherwise i need another laptop 😞
