card reader on Pavillion g7

Product Name: Pavillion g7
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavillion g7.  My card reader has not worked in a long time (I use an external one)  Today I am out of town and forgot it so I need to use the internal Realtek one.  In device driver it says it is working properly; however, when i insert the card - nothing.  The F: used to open up.  I have downloaded the new driver and the patch still nothing.  Any help would be appreciated

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

 

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? 

 

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:

 

Follow this link and install the card reader driver for windows 10 version 10.0.370.162. Once it is downloaded un-zip that folder, and then double click on setup.exe to run it. :)

 

This should fix it, Let me know if it worked out. ;)
