connect touch screen monitor to laptop

I have a 3 year old Pavilion DV6t-2000 with intel quad core i7
Just upgraded OS to windows 8 pro 64-bit
Would like to connect a touch screen monitor to take advantage of win8 touch capability
Is this feasible.?
Any recomendations on monitors?

Re: connect touch screen monitor to laptop

To be honest, I had somebody the other day try to connect an external monitor by VGA and they lost touch functionality on the screen. The reason why they did because the notebook they had isn't support buy windows 8.

In your case you can try it but I wouldn't doubt not being supported by 8 there could be an issue with the drivers or something else giving you a problem.
