Same, had funny argument with online tech, who insisted that it was non-covered "accidental damage". Told him that there was no accidental damage, unless he means that an accident happened during the laptop's design phase. Finally he agreed to take it in and let the warranty department decide if it was a defect or "accidential damage. " I'll report back on the results.
