@EdwinHim, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Display Issues After Firmware Update!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your laptop is experiencing display issues after installing the HP Inc. Firmware version 15.52.0.0, and you have verified that display drivers appear to be functioning correctly in the Device Manager, here are the steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
External Peripherals:
- Continue using an external monitor and keyboard to perform the troubleshooting steps.
Verify External Monitor:
- Ensure that the external monitor is compatible with your laptop.
- Make sure the external monitor is turned on.
Check Screen Configuration:
- Press the combination Fn + F4 (or Windows logo key + P) to toggle screen output between internal and external displays.
Hard Reset:
- Disconnect all external devices and power off the laptop.
- Remove the battery (if possible) and unplug the AC adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power sources and attempt to power on the laptop.
BIOS and Drivers Update:
- Update the BIOS and display drivers to the latest versions from the HP support website.
- Go to Safe Mode to install or uninstall drivers if necessary.
HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tool to run diagnostic tests on your display hardware:
- Press F2 while booting and select Component Tests.
- Run the Video Memory Check, Palette Check, and Dead Pixel Check.
Windows Update and Settings:
- Ensure your operating system is up-to-date.
- Adjust Windows settings such as Power options, Screen brightness, Personalization, and Screen resolution.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
