Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

my HP Spectre x 360 screen splits vertically in half and the left half is shaded with a darker colour which distorts screens and particularly pictures

Hi @johnnyll

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing display-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

I would suggest you update all the drivers on your system and check if the issue persists. Here is a link that will help: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hello @johnnyll

(1) Connect an external monitor to the [d-sub vga / hdmi] port and check if both monitors fail or only the notebook screen.

(2) Service is required for 2A) and 2B)

2A) Only the notebook screen fails, the GPU (graphic) is ok but the screen and cable must be checked.

2B) If both screens fail, the GPU (graphic) must be checked.

-> Still HP warranty -> contact HP Support

-> No HP Warranty -> HP could do a (paid) repair

-> You should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

best regards
