Product: Pavilion 17 ar0xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have a Pavilion 17ar0xx, it has a RJ-45 network jack, one HDMI port Two Usb3.x ports and a USB Type -c port. I bought an extension monitor and love it so much I want to add another one but don't know if my computer will support dual monitors. I'm desparate because I already bought another monitor (coming in a few days) and just found out that my system may not support it. Also if I can run dual monitors off of my laptop can anyone tell me the best way to hook it up. Thanks

What is your Pavilion 17 ar0xx  ? It should have same ports as the following machine

 

         HP Pavilion - 17-ar007ca

 

Its USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charger your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)
