HP Spectra X360 convertible 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased this yesterday, my previous HP Spectre x360's motherboard failed.  I had the computer shop mirror by old 512 SSD onto the new computer.  I have updated all software that the windows updates that the system has identified.  My old 360 did not have a fingerprint reader so I'm thinking that the mirroring process might have removed the fingerprint driver (but im not a software expert), I cannot find it in the bio-metric section.  I can get windows hello to work with face recognition, but it says fingerprint reader option currently unavailable.  Can anyone help me find the correct driver for the fingerprint reader?

The fingerprint driver on your machine is either integrated into the touchpad or is a small box in the lower right of the keyboard area.

This is one of those situations (so common) where you need to know the exact model of the computer for which you need the driver.

There are many "Spectre 15" models, in other words.

The fingerprint driver you seek is likely listed in your computer's support website in category

Software and Drivers > subcategory Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices

The name of the driver usually contains the words "Fingerprint Driver" or similar.

If you cannot find the entry, tells us the exact model of your computer and we can check for you.
