Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ave tried everything in the HP forums and even had Microsoft take control of my computer.  Microsoft said they are aware of the situation and will let me know when a solution is available.  My concern is the camera app shows up on the settings and apps but the drive does not show up in device manager.  Have tried the hidden app icon and also tried the scan for update devices.  Nothing happens same issues.  How do I get the camera drive installed.  I have a camera built in at the top of my screen.  I have never used the camera until a day ago just to find out that it is not working.  gain I have tried everything on the web.

@JOE742 Here's all you need to do, to identify the cause of the issue and attempt to fix the same:

  1. Restart your computer.

    If the problem persists, continue using these steps.

  2. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

  3. If there is no Imaging devices category listed, select Action, then Scan for hardware changes.

  4. If Device Manager does not recognize the webcam after the scan, use Microsoft System Restore to go back to a time when the webcam was working properly.

    If problems persist, the webcam might have become unplugged internally, and the computer might require service to correct the issue.
