hp envy x360 touch screen not working

Envy x360 2-in-1 i7 M6-aq005dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought a brand new Envy last Thursday, touchscreen did not work.  Called support and they remotely worked on it for a few hours ultimately having to restore to factory settings, still did not work.  Exchanged laptop at store yesterday and the touchscreen on this one does not work either.  


Per the sales person at the store the touchscreen should work with computer in laptop or tablet mode, is this correct?


Is there a known issue with these that I should choose another model?  


Is there something that has to be enabled?  I have checked the drivers and all is newest version and enabled.

Welcome to HP forums,

I understand that touch screen is not functioning on your laptop.

Also, you mentioned this is your second laptop and you still have issues with the touchscreen.

Yes, the touchscreen is supported both in tablet and laptop mode.


Please update few drivers mentioned in the link below.

BIOS firmware link:


If you still have any issues after updating the drivers this could be a hardware issue.
