Hi @ecchase,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop 15-dw3053 is not turning on after connecting your phone and restarting it, here are some additional steps you can try.

  • Disconnect all external devices: Disconnect all external devices from the laptop, including your phone, charger, USB drives, and any other peripherals. Then, try turning on the laptop again.
  • Check the power adapter: Make sure that the power adapter is working properly and that it is plugged into a working electrical outlet. You may want to try using a different power adapter to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Perform a hard reset: Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery from the laptop (if it is removable). Then, press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds. After this, reinsert the battery and power adapter and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Check the battery: If the laptop still does not turn on, the battery may be depleted or faulty. Try removing the battery and plugging in the power adapter directly to see if the laptop turns on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
