Hi @Yash188,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out about the flickering display and horizontal white line on your HP 14-f1000 (2L1B0AV) laptop — that can indeed be frustrating. Let's walk through some troubleshooting steps first and see if this helps.

Step 1: Troubleshooting First

  1. Test with External Monitor
    • Connect your laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.
      • If the external display is clean, that typically suggests the internal cable or panel is faulty.
      • If the external display also flickers, the issue might be graphics hardware.

  2. Adjust Refresh Rate
    • Go to Settings → System → Display → Advanced display settings, select your laptop panel, and try lowering the refresh rate (e.g. from 60Hz to 50Hz or 48Hz).

  3. Update Graphics Driver
    • Use HP Support Assistant or visit the HP drivers page for your model to ensure you have the correct and latest Intel or AMD graphics driver installed.

  4. BIOS Update

If the problem only appears on the laptop screen and not on the external monitor, even after these steps, it strongly suggests a fault in the internal video cable or LCD panel.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
