Yes, the OPTION is available on this series.

If YOUR computer includes the backlit keyboard feature, look for the keyboard-sunburst icon on the F5 key.

If the computer does not include a backlit keyboard, it can be added.

Reminder >> Replacing the keyboard is a moderate skill level task --

Note the comments in the service manual:

"The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spared parts from the computer."
