Hi @ujjwal009,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a frustrating experience with your HP Pavilion x360 14" 2-in-1 laptop and its stylus (pen) while trying to write. The pen seems to be misbehaving—adding extra lines, dots, or overwriting your work. Let’s fix that so you can focus on your writing.

1. Update Pen and Touch Drivers

  • Go to Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand Human Interface Devices.
  • Right-click on:
    • HID-compliant touch screen
    • HID-compliant pen
  • Select Update driver > Search automatically.

Also, check for updates in Settings > Windows Update.

2. Calibrate the Pen Input

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
  • Click Calibrate under the Display tab.
  • Use the pen to tap the crosshairs accurately.

 3. Turn Off Touch While Using Pen

To avoid accidental palm touches:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
  • Enable “Ignore touch input when I’m using my pen”.

4. Check the Writing App

  • If you're using OneNoteWord, or another app, make sure it's updated.
  • Try a different app like Microsoft Whiteboard or Journal to see if the issue persists.

5. Reset Pen Settings

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
  • Reset any custom settings to the default.

6. Replace or Recharge the Pen Battery

  • If your pen uses a battery, it might be low or dying.
  • Replace the battery or recharge it if it's a rechargeable model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
