I recently upgraded my HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G3 to Windows 11, and my touchscreen has completely stopped working. In System Information, it says 'No touch input for this device', and in Device Manager, there is no HID-compliant touch screen listed under Human Interface Devices.
I have tried:
Restarting and updating Windows.
Checking for missing drivers in Device Manager.
Installing the Intel Serial IO Driver and other drivers from HP's website.
Enabling the touchscreen in BIOS.
Running HP's UEFI hardware diagnostics (which doesn’t detect any touchscreen issues).
Resetting Windows, but the problem persists.
The touchscreen worked before on Windows 10, and it even functions during the Windows installation/setup process, but stops working after Windows 11 fully loads.
Is there a way to manually reinstall the touchscreen driver or force Windows to recognize the hardware?"
