Hi I purchased a brand new HP Envy x360 laptop in July, I have just gone to use the silver tilt pen that came with it and it will not charge. The orange light comes on but I left it charging for 3 hours and it still will not work. Very disappointing when I paid so much for a good quality laptop, only to find the accessory does not work.

Hi @SarahL46,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your HP Envy x360 laptop and its tilt pen. It's indeed frustrating when accessories don't work as expected, especially after investing in a quality device. Here are some steps you can take to try and troubleshoot the issue.
- Verify the connection: Make sure the pen is securely connected to the charging port. Sometimes, connections can become loose over time.
- Check the charging cable: Ensure that the charging cable is properly plugged into a power source and that there are no damages to the cable itself.
- Try a different power source: Plug the charging cable into a different power outlet or USB port to rule out any issues with the power source.
- Restart the laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart your laptop and see if the pen charges afterward.
- Update drivers: Check if there are any driver updates available for your laptop and the tilt pen. Updating drivers can often resolve compatibility issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
