HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-ay0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a brand new envy x360 convertible for about a month now. The laptop ships with Win 10 Home and I wanted Win 10 Pro as it suits me better for my needs.

I have purchased the Pro version through microsoft store and tried to install it automatically. To cut the very long story short  - I had to reformat my laptop and after some time and some troubleshooting by the Microsoft agents etc (remote assistance etc) I finally got the Pro version.

My problem is that the dedicated buttons for MIC and Camera do not shot the on screen notifications when I press them. The buttons work and do what they supposed to be doing but I do not get any onscreen notification.

Can someone help with this or point to a direction to solve this problem? (the initial behaviour of the buttons were to show on screen notification as they were pressed and toggled to on or off camera or mic)

Thanks a bunch for any help.

N.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Hi thanks for replying to my message. I have done that but the onscreen notification toggle still doesn’t work. I have formatted and re installed windows and HP assistant and still it doesn’t show.

any ideas?

I have checked for the drivers and unfortunately this seems to be a driver issue with Windows 10 pro

does this mean that it is not fixable?

You might have to wait for Windows to release an update for the same
