pink screen on laptop. it has integrated GPU. Can it be easily fixed?

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

 

  • Does the pink tint appear immediately when you power on, or only after Windows loads?
  • Is it constant across all applications, or does it change when you open videos, images, or certain programs?
  • Have you connected the laptop to an external monitor to see if the issue persists there?

Here are a few quick troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check the display cable connection: If your laptop screen is detachable or has been serviced before, a loose cable can sometimes cause color distortion.
  • Update or reinstall graphics drivers: Since you mentioned it has an integrated GPU, updating the Intel/AMD graphics driver through Windows Update or the hp Support  website may https://support.hp.com/   help.
  • Run a display test: HP laptops often have built-in diagnostics (press F2 during startup to access HP PC Hardware Diagnostics). This can confirm if the issue is hardware-related.
  • Test with an external monitor: If the external display looks normal, the issue may be with the laptop’s screen rather than the GPU.
