Hi @prince107,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A reddish tint in one corner of your HP laptop screen can be caused by several issues, ranging from hardware problems to display settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check Display Settings

Adjust Color Calibration:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
  • Scroll down and click on Color calibration. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the display and correct color issues.

Check Color Profiles:

  • Go to Control Panel > Color Management.
  • Check if a color profile is applied. Try resetting to the default profile or adjusting the settings to see if it resolves the tint issue.

2. Inspect Physical Display

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the screen closely for any visible damage or discoloration. Physical damage might cause color issues and could require screen replacement.

Press Gently on the Screen:

  • Sometimes, gently pressing around the affected area (while the laptop is turned off) can temporarily fix display issues if they are related to loose connections. Be very careful to avoid damaging the screen.

3. Update Graphics Drivers

Update Drivers:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Display adapters section, right-click on your graphics card, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the instructions.

Reinstall Drivers:

  • If updating doesn’t work, you may try uninstalling the graphics driver and then restarting your laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

Turn Off and Disconnect:

  • Shut down your laptop and disconnect it from any external power sources. Remove any attached peripherals.

Power Drain:

  • Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.

Restart:

  • Reconnect the power and restart your laptop to see if the tint issue persists.

5. Check for External Factors

Inspect for External Interference:

  • Ensure there are no magnets, electronic devices, or objects near the laptop that could interfere with the display.

Test with an External Monitor:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor to check if the reddish tint appears there as well. If the external monitor displays correctly, the issue is likely with the laptop’s internal display.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
