Dear HP Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am reaching out regarding a critical issue with my HP Victus laptop, which is equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 2050 discrete GPU. Unfortunately, the GPU is completely non-functional—Windows fails to recognize it properly, and any attempt to install the driver results in an error. Within Device Manager, the GPU appears with an error code, indicating that it is not operational at all.
To troubleshoot the issue, I have already performed the following steps:
- Updated the GPU driver to the latest version using GeForce Experience and the official NVIDIA website.
- Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
- Updated the BIOS and all relevant drivers via HP Support Assistant.
- Reset the BIOS to its default settings.
- Performed a clean reinstallation of Windows, testing multiple OS versions.
Despite these extensive efforts, the problem persists, suggesting a potential hardware failure. I would appreciate your guidance on the next steps, including whether the issue requires a hardware inspection or repair.
Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
[Saied ADi]
