Hp pavilion x360  Purchased 3 years ago   Worst touchpad ever.  To jerky, to sensitive even though I have tried to adjust.  So sensitive it keeps changing tabs and sizing while I am trying to negotiate.  The keyboard is not great either.  MOstly it is the touchpad that opens tabs and messes up everything I am working on.  Even while I was trying to post this it jerked around and made bigger then smaller!!

Hi@lovevancouver,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing touch pad issues with the HP Pavilion Laptop.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works fine.

Try and check in Bios using the F10 key if the touchpad works fine in Bios. To enter Bios, click restart and keep tapping the F10 key and then turn on the PC at the same time to enter Bios screen.

If the issue persists in Bios then it is a hardware issue on the screen.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
