Hi @Gagan290501,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Pavilion laptop is experiencing some touchscreen issues along with a slowdown. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Restart your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches or software issues causing the slowdown and touchscreen problem.
  • Check for Updates: Ensure that your operating system and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues leading to touchscreen problems.
  • Disable and Re-enable Touchscreen: You can try disabling and re-enabling the touchscreen device in Device Manager (for Windows) or System Preferences (for macOS) to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Calibrate Touchscreen: Some touchscreen issues can be due to incorrect calibration. Windows and macOS have built-in touchscreen calibration tools that you can use to recalibrate the touchscreen.
  • Scan for Malware: Run a full antivirus scan to check for any malware or viruses that might be causing performance issues.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: If the problem persists, it could be a hardware issue.
  • Restore to Factory Settings: As a last resort, you can try restoring your laptop to factory settings to see if that resolves the issue. Make sure to back up your important files before doing so, as this will erase all data on your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
